These Pumpkin Caramel Rice Krispy Treats are a delightful twist on the classic recipe, combining the flavors of pumpkin and caramel for a delicious fall treat.
Ingredients:
- 6 cups Rice Krispies cereal
- 1/2 cup pumpkin puree
- 1/2 cup caramel sauce
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter
- 1/2 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 package 10 oz marshmallows
Instructions:
Heat a large saucepan over low heat to melt the butter
When the marshmallows are fully melted, add them and stir
Pureed pumpkin, caramel sauce, pumpkin pie spice, vanilla extract, and salt should all be thoroughly mixed in
After turning off the heat, carefully fold in the Rice Krispies cereal until it is well coated
Grease a 9 x 13-inch baking dish and press the mixture into it
Allow to cool fully before slicing into squares
